Scouting

Support for the Boy Scout movement came at The American Legion’s first National Convention in November of 1919 when a resolution was adopted supporting the Boy Scouts of America as the first youth program. Today, there are more than 2,500 Boy Scout units sponsored by Legion Posts throughout the country.

Supporting Boy Scout activities is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their service-learned skills and experiences as Veterans to bear to help build character and positive traits in “Young America.” Few other Post activities generate more goodwill from the community.

Siloam Post 29 is proud to be the charter organization for the local Boy Scouts Troop 3766 and Cub Scout Pack 232.  Troop 3766 was formed on April 20, 2015 and the Pack 232 was formed March 1, 1992.  Siloam Post 29 became the charter organization for both Troop 3766 and Pack 232 January 1, 2017.
